While top racers probably already expect this type of quality from their grips, even your average rider can give these a go and find them amazing.
The designers also took the ergonomic factor into consideration as the soft yet dense construction manages to seriously reduce the amount of vibration while riding which means less hand fatigue in the long run.
If you don’t have a lot of money to spend on your new grips but you’d still like something reliable, feel free to take these ones out for a spin and enjoy their time-tested effectiveness.
You have to be careful not to install this product using rubber cement as you may find yourself unable to use it the next day.
If you are going through motorcycle grips reviews looking for a model that offers a wide range of benefits at a fair price, then you are in the right place. Pro Taper’s grips include a Vibrasonix pillow top that eliminates vibration and cushions any impact for a smoother ride.
If you’re a fan of going off-road, then it’s good to know that the tacky gel-like surface will be of great help when doing difficult moves with your hands, as it helps gain a better control over the bike and enjoy the adventure.
Moreover, an inner core compound ensures a better bonding interface with the bars, and keeps the grips securely in place. The grips are designed to self-clean and shed the mud away. Of course, it doesn’t mean that they will be clean every second, but it does mean less maintenance involved compared to other similar products.
This is a great choice of grips, especially for people who love going off-road and measuring their forces against nature.
The strong, gel-like surface will be worth double its weight in gold when you’ll be doing those difficult jumping moves on a rough terrain and you will need something to keep you glued to your vehicle.
The inner core compound is great for ensuring a smooth transition of movement from the center to the bars.
Another bonus is that the grips are designed in such a way that they are supposed to clean themselves by shedding away any mud or debris. While this does not mean they’ll be spotless every second of the day, it does mean they fare better than other products.
The outer grip area seems to show some weakness compared to similar models, in the sense that it tends to slip away sometimes.
When looking for motorcycle grips for sale, don’t forget about the models that add some flavor in terms of expressing your personality. You can enhance the look of your motorcycle with Krator’s Spiked Flame hand grips, especially if you are a fan of flames and what they represent as a symbol.
Besides looking stylish, this model has many other great features, such as a high-quality construction that ensures you’ll be enjoying many rides before shopping for a new set. Their color is chrome and they fit 1” handlebars, while their construction includes billet aluminum and black rubber for durability.
The grips are easy to install, and the model fits a wide range of motorcycle handlebars from different brands. If you want to ride in full safety and create some great memories at the same time, you could also set your eyes on a great motorcycle helmet cam that will help you capture every moment.
While this may not always be the most important aspect, looks can still weigh in pretty hard and these ones can really spice things up when it comes to expressing your personality.
The stylish features aside, the model also comes with other features such as a great design and construction technique, which allow for quite an extended period of time before buying a new set.
They are made to fit 1’’ handlebars while the chrome color makes a great team with the billet aluminum and black rubber that are included for durability.
Furthermore, you won’t have any problems installing the grips and they should be worth their money as they are made to fit a wide array of handlebars from a lot of different brands.
As much as the manufacturer claims otherwise, there’s still a pretty large group of motorbikes where this item cannot be used.
Let’s talk about a cool model! Scott Sports offers this green/black set of grips that, besides giving your bike a nice visual touch, also bring along a wide range of benefits. One feature included is the Diamond Grip, a triple density grip that focuses on reducing arm fatigue without sacrificing control.
Moreover, the firm core and the end cap are tear-resistant bringing durability into the picture. If you decide to give these grips a chance, you will most probably use them for a long time before needing to replace them, so they are definitely an option to consider.
Their medium density waffle pattern delivers maximum comfort and durability, while the soft density diamond pattern area reduces vibration, arm pump, and hand fatigue. The manufacturer’s Large Flange MX grip is designed to fit 7/8" handlebars using twist throttles, and features an integrated safety wire channel.
When it comes to a cool model, these grips are as attractive as they come with the stylish green and black pattern and a wide array of benefits meant to lure you in and amaze you.
The Diamond Grip that was imagined for this product has the benefit of being a triple density grip that is able to reduce arm fatigue on long roads without losing anything when it comes to controlling your bike.
The firm core and the end cap tear are masterfully designed and make durability a core asset of this product since they will last you a really long time before demanding a replacement.
This product comes with a medium density pattern and a soft density pattern, both of which work toward reducing vibration and hand fatigue.
While quite stylish, an untrained hand might find these grips to be a little uncomfortable on those long, bumpy rides.
Progrip’s model is made of a soft rubber compound that is both firm on the inside and gel-like on the outside. The result? A very soft product with a grippy texture that sticks to your hand and to the handlebars.
When you install it, it tends to squirm in your hand and might seem like an impossible task to do. However, once you manage to get it in place, it’s good to go. The grips also have grooves on the ends for safety wire.
If you live in an area with lower temperatures and maybe only have a limited amount of time to ride throughout the year, then it’s good to know that these grips remain soft even in cold weather, meaning you’ll be able to use them at full potential for a longer time.
Don’t forget to also check out some eye-catching biker shirts while you’re browsing for accessories.
Progrip really went to town when it comes to the amount of comfort that this model brings since the soft rubber compound is a result that is firm on the inside, for added durability yet gel-like on the outside, for improved comfort.
This item tends to stick to your hand when riding, offering a sense of safety and care, even at high speeds.
While they may squirm in your hand during installation, nothing will take these grips off once they’re glued there, especially since they were designed with grooves on the ends for safety.
These are perfect for people who live in cold weather because they have the ability to remain soft even in lower temperatures, meaning you’ll have them for a long time, no matter if it’s summer or winter.
While these grips do seem to have a tendency to wear and tear, harder-wearing ones also stick to your hand less, so this is a choose-your-poison scenario.
When looking for good motorcycle grips, you most probably know what it is that you need and what suits your taste and would like to find all the benefits at a fair price. If that’s the case, Biltwell’s GR-BUN-78-BK model might be exactly what you are looking for.
The grips are made of high-quality materials that ensure durability, and also feature a very nice vintage look that gives your bike a stylish touch. They can be easily installed on the handlebars, while their injection-molded Krayton synthetic rubber construction is light and offers a very good performance.
However, they are not particularly built as a thick cushion, so if you are in the market for a model that reduces vibrations more than anything, this might not be exactly what you are looking for. With that being said, they are top rated among bikers, based on the extensive reviews research we’ve done.
When you’re in need of finding good motorcycle grips at an affordable price, you will probably be relieved to find out you have encountered just the thing to suit your taste without breaking the bank in the process.
This Biltwell model is great since it is made of high-quality materials that make sure you will get to use it for a long time while the vintage look offers your bike a nice change that will never go out of style.
The injection-molded Krayton synthetic construction is capable of delivering great performance while still being extremely light and soft to touch.
Due to the combination of style, features, and extensive durability, this is one of the most sought-after models out there.
While this is still a great pair of grips, they were not designed to be a particularly thick cushion so if your main goal is to reduce vibrations while riding, you may be best suited looking elsewhere.
If what you are looking for is a great model that offers superior comfort for your hands, then Avon’s AIR-90 might definitely be the right choice. The grips are designed for Harley-Davidson riders, so that’s another thing you should keep in mind when looking at this product.
The set features Air pockets built inside which absorb unwanted vibrations and deliver a superior shock resistance for your hands and upper body. This offers full comfort when riding, as well as a better hand-grip which ensures more control over the motorcycle and a better overall experience.
The Billet aluminum ends and rings ensure durability, meaning you will be able to use these grips for an increased length of time, before replacing them. The one thing you should be aware of is that they don’t work with models equipped with air reservoirs in the bars, so you should take this into account beforehand.
If you are in the market for a top-notch model that is designed to offer superior comfort and stability to your hands, Avon’s AIR-90 might definitely be anything and everything that you are looking for.
They are specifically engineered for Harley-Davidson riders and the set also boasts Air pockets that are built inside it and are able to absorb any surprising and unwanted vibrations that may happen while riding.
The better hand-grip which results from this offers in return better overall control over the motorcycle and improves the user’s experience while on it.
Since the ends and rings are made from Billet aluminum, this is an added warranty that this item will be good to go for a long time and it’ll be a while before you even have to think about replacing it.
You should make sure you know how to adjust the cables before buying these as they seem to sometimes cause problems to your throttle.
Grip Puppy’s Comfort Grips will definitely make a difference in your motorcycling experience, as they bring comfort to a new level and reduce the hand fatigue created by vibration. The soft, squeezable model simply slips over the standard handlebars and ensures a tactile grip that allows for greater comfort.
The good part is that you don’t need to remove the standard grip, as you can simply slip these over. The model stays securely in place once fitted and provides a simple and very effective solution. Moreover, they fit all standard sizes and can be placed over handlebars that are 1.25” to 1.45” inches in diameter.
The same as with good motorcycle jeans, finding the perfect fit is the first step. The fact that this model can be slipped over the standard grips makes it a very reliable choice as it stays in place and also protects the original components.
These grips are definitely similar to puppies in the sense that they will offer added comfort to your experience and make you want to spend time with your bike all the time, just like with your dogs!
Furthermore, just like when petting your dog, your hand fatigue will be reduced by the soft surface and durable protection against vibrations.
The good thing about these is that you don’t have to bother to remove your standard grip since you can simply slide them over and enjoy a double layer of hand security when riding while also protecting your original components from further damage.
Even better, they are made to fit all standard sizes out there and should be able to be placed over handlebars between 1.25” and 1.45”.
The only downside to these puppies is the fact that they tend to wear out so you’ll be buying a new pair after two-to-three years of heavy use.
Another model which can be slipped over the standard grips, Grab On’s MC402 set is the solution if you are looking for extra comfort while riding your motorcycle. For a great riding experience, give these grips a chance and see the benefits for yourself.
MC402 works with both standard or heated grips, which means you don’t need to worry about riding in cold weather. The shock-absorbing EPDM foam absorbs shocks, ensuring a smoother ride, and prevents hand fatigue, protecting the upper body.
If the manufacturer’s recommendations are followed, these grips are very easy to install, and can also be cut out and adjusted for a perfect fit over the handlebars. Some users who like to ride without gloves found these to be an excellent solution for palms that tend to sweat, so if you are facing the same issue, then you can definitely add these to the top of your list.
This is another model that can come in quite handy because it can be slipped over your regular grips without having to remove them first.
The Grab On set is the perfect solution when you want to add some extra comfort to your riding adventures.
MC402 is able to mesh with both standard or heated grips so cold weather will never be something that is able to stop you from riding ever again.
The added EPDM foam works as a great barrier against the shock, absorbing any and all contact and preventing hand fatigue, allowing you to enjoy longer and smoother rides in the process.
These also tend to be an excellent choice for people who struggle with sweaty palms so you can definitely take a look at them if you are experiencing this problem.
There seem to be some problems with the delivery system as the diameter of the grips is not always the one it’s advertised to be.
Bikemaster’s heated model is more than just a grips set, it’s a system. First of all, it works for twist throttle applications and has a new elegant design that features a revolutionary heating structure which delivers heat faster than ever.
The best part is that the new five-level temperature controller allows you to accurately adjust the grip’s temperature. This means that you can set everything just the way you want it and enjoy a great riding experience while your hands remain at an optimal comfort.
When it comes to the product’s design, the elegant, open-end grip construction brings both functionality during use and a stylish touch to your motorcycle. Moreover, the high-quality materials used include a specially-selected rubber material which resists in different environments.
The ergonomic construction also reduces hand fatigue, for longer rides in full comfort. Once everything is in place, all you need to do it to take your bike out for a ride.
With the entire amount of similar products available on the market, finding the right grips can sometimes be a challenge, since each of them seems to fit other needs and preferences. This product is more than just grips though, it’s an entire system.
To start things off, it’s able to work for twist throttle applications while the sleek design that comes with a revolutionary heating structure will deliver the heat faster than it ever has been before.
Being able to adjust the temperature of your grips is an advantage you will quickly grow addicted to, especially in colder, harsher climates.
Since you can set everything just the way you want it, your comfort will raise to new levels, as will your overall riding experience.
While the heat does work, some people may have trouble actually feeling it, even when opting to run it on the highest setting available.
Renthal’s Black Full Diamond Firm Compound Sport model features dual layer grips which combine the durability of the manufacturer’s firm compound products with the feel and absorption qualities of softer compound models.
The strong material is used for various parts such as the inner sleeve and outer-end of the grip, ensuring maximum durability. Softer material is used for the outer diameter of the grip, which comes in direct contact with the hand.
This mix of different materials means that the product offers full comfort for riders and a durable and reliable construction. The grips feature DuPont’s Kevlar brand resin which makes them softer and longer lasting.
Some of the top racers around the world are aware of these benefits and are already using this set which works very well if you like a thinner, greater feel. If what you are looking for is a thicker cushion, then this might not be exactly right for you.
This is a sporty model that will make the customers fall in love with it due to its dual-layer grips that combine a great feeling with very good absorption qualities.
The manufacturer used strong material to cover most of the product, including the inner sleeve and the outer end of the grip, which makes for a durable product.
While this makes sure that the item will offer you maximum durability and resistance to damage, the softer material that was used for the outer diameter of the grip is the one that comes in contact with the hand and improves your comfort.
Another mark of the quality of this product is the fact that some of the top racers around the world have been using it for quite some time.
You may want to avoid using these without gloves as they seem quite capable of rubbing one’s hands.
Finding the right grips is sometimes more difficult than it appears at first. Besides having a wide range of products available on the market, each type suiting other needs and preferences, there are also some criteria you should keep in mind before making your choice.
Of course, as with everything else, you should first and foremost make sure you know what benefits you are looking for, in order to see which product suits them best. If you don’t know where to begin, then have a look at the guide below in order to get you started on this beautiful ride.
As you can only imagine, grips come in all shapes and sizes, each one responding to a different preference and, more importantly, delivering a different benefit to the end user.
Plain-gauge grips have the same thickness throughout their entire length, while others have a palm bulge in the middle or inter-finger bulges that some riders find more comfortable. These are definitely worth trying if you are experiencing hand pain or fatigue.
Grip thickness can also vary quite a lot. For some riders with smaller hands, a thinner grip can be more comfortable in the long run, while riders with bigger hands may prefer the feel of a bigger grip. Of course, this is a matter of personal preference and it’s something you can safely figure out by simply trying different models.
Dual compound grips are made of two different types of rubber during fabrication. A harder foundation layer is found on the inner part, while a softer-compound surface layer surrounds it. This method and manufacturing process brings along two main benefits: the inner sleeve provides a secure hold on the bars, while the softer outer layer feels more comfortable for the hand.
Basic grips are installed by simply slipping them onto the ends of the bars. Sometimes, this means going through a bit of sweat to get them in place. Therefore, some riders have come to appreciate the advantages of the new generation of lock-on grips.
This type features small metal collars, either at one end or at both ends, that tightly lock the grip to the bars. Because they are bolted on, they can be a little looser in fit than traditional grips, making things much easier when it comes to putting them on or taking them off.
Moreover, traditional grips can slip or rotate when they become warm and sweaty, or face humid conditions. Lock-on models eliminate this problem by clamping the grips to the bars and securely holding them in place. This is an essential consideration for riders tackling a more demanding terrain.
There are a few drawbacks as well, as lock-on grips tend to be heavier and more expensive than slide-on sets, and can be more uncomfortable for riders who like to rest their hands on the ends of the bars during climbs or long rides. However, for some riders, this trade-off is perfect, given the added security and reliability they provide.
Holding onto a standard handlebar can sometimes be painful if the terrain is a very challenging one. Grips are designed to ensure the full comfort of your hands by providing padding and vibration.
This is a great feature for extremely long or bumpy rides. The hand’s position is definitely a consideration in grip design: an optimal grip minimizes the risk of hand cramps.
Before actually purchasing the grip that suits your needs, you should first make sure you know the size of your handlebar. Moreover, consider what style fits your bike and adds that personal touch you are looking for. It’s possible for grips to look amazing on their own, but not fit the style of your bike.
Another thing you should think about is whether you want to use heated grips or not. Heated grips are more expensive, but can definitely make riding a lot more comfortable in cold or rainy weather. If you suffer from cold hands, then this might definitely be the right choice for you.
When it comes to padding, various levels and different materials are available to choose from, each with its own unique qualities. As you can imagine, some riders prefer gel grips, while others like the feel of other materials such as cork or leather.
The best way to know what you like and feel comfortable with is to test out various types of models and see which one suits your particular needs.
Having a motorcycle and enjoying long beautiful rides also means you need to take good care of it on and off-season. If you would like to know more on this, check out our other articles on choosing the right motorcycle cover, or which types of motorcycle oil you should use.

Just wish to correct your English grammar in the above text descriptions.
There simply is no such thing as ” a period of time.”
The word period means a section of time. So it is possible to describe various situations where there could be ….let’s say: a period of activity….or maybe a period of sadness….etc. etc. But you cannot say there is ever such a thing as a “period of time”….because to do so would simply not make any sense at all.
So for instance in your description of the Avon grips AIR-90…..in the last paragraph of your description, the text should read…..” meaning you will be able to use these grips for a long period.”
the words….” of time” simply need omitting.
You need to alert your text checking editor to this sort of grammatical blunder.

Hi Robert,
Thank you for your input. I do agree that contextually, ‘of time’ is superfluous, but ‘a period of time’ does exist and is used by many English speakers, be they native or not. However, I will make the necessary changes and will let our editors know.
Have a great day.
